يهدف هذا البحث دراسة الفعل في اللغتين الإنجليزية و العربية دراسة نحوية تقابلية للوقوف على أوجه الاختلاف في اللغتين، آخذا بعين الاعتبار أن الاختلافات النحوية بين هاتين اللغتين يشكل السبب الرئيس في الصعوبات التي يواجهها متعلمو اللغة العربية من الناطقين بالإنجليزية، و متعلمو الإنجليزية من الناطقين بالعربية.
حيث إنه أثناء العملية التدريسية يجب التركيز على تدريس هذه الاختلافات النحوية التي قد تسهل على الطلبة تعلم اللغتين المذكورتين لغير الناطقين بهما.
و على المعلم أن يكون على دراية بالصعوبات التي تواجه متعلمي اللغة الأجنبية، لمساعدتهم على تجاوز هذه الصعوبات.
Abstract EN
The present study aims at comparing and contrasting English and Arabic verb morphology to determine the points where they differ.
These differences are the main cause of difficulty in the learning of the second language.
Teaching will be directed at those points where there are structural differences.
This, in turn, determines what the teacher has to teach and what the learner has to learn.
The whole focus of the present analysis will be confined to verb morphology in both languages.
