Teaching the speaking skill in Iraqi Secondary Schools : a proposed method

Abstract EN

Speaking skill is one of the major skills in teaching a foreign language.

Developing these skills depends on some techniques used by teachers in the classroom.

Unfortunately, most of these techniques are neglected by Iraqi teachers for different reasons.

The present study sheds light on the difficulties that face the development of speaking skill in Iraqi schools.

Moreover, a proposed method is presented to be adopted by those teachers to develop this skill.
