يعد سول بيلو (1915 - 2005) روائي و كاتب مسرحي و قاص أمريكي حائز على جائزة نوبل للأدب في عام 1976.
اشتهر بيلو بروائي المثقفين كون جميع أعماله تتعامل مع شخصية المثقف الذي يقاسي أزمات متعددة.
إن الهدف من هذا البحث هو لتوضيح إيجابيات و سلبيات دور وسلوك المثقف ؛ و لتعقب ردود فعله في التعامل مع هكذا أزمات حادة من أجل الوصول لتفسير مناسب.
Abstract EN
Saul Bellow (1915-2005) is an American novelist, playwright, essayist, and short story writer.
He is the Nobel Prize winner in literature in 1976.
He is recognised as a novelist of the intellectuals for all his works are concerned with the figure of the intellectual who goes through a multiple of crises.
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the pros and cons of the intellectual's role and behaviour; and to trace his reactions in dealing with such intense crises so as to find a suitable elucidation.
