English Abstract

Thirty three soil bacterial isolates were obtained from Al-Karak–Ain / sarah.

The crude extract of nine strains showed antibacterial activity.

They were screened for their antibacterial activity against five types of pathogenic microorganisms (Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Micrococcu luteus, Enterobacter aerugenes).

One of these isolated (D4) was shown to be the most effective strain.

Bacteria strain was coded by D4 identified as Alcaligenes faecalis based on RAPID CB plus kit.

Optimization of the conditions for production of bioactive extract was performed.

The crude extract of Alcaligenes faecalis sp.

D4 has narrow antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Micrococcu luteus.

The crude extract of bacterial of interest was subjected to partial purification by column chromatography.

The bioactivity of the partially purified compounds was tested by agar diffusion assay and their minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) was determined.
