English Abstract

This study aimed to calculate the electric resistance between two arbitrary grid points of any lattice structure that is a periodic tilling of d-dimensional space by using the lattice Green's function for the Laplacian matrix for the network.

In this work the resistor network treated systematically by Laplacianoperator of the difference equations governed by Ohm's and Kirchhoff's laws.

Then the Green's function corresponding to the discrete Laplacian operator can be related to the resistance between two arbitrary nodes on a resistor network.

Here we present some applications to show how efficient this method.

Green's function method enables us to derive the resistance formulas for the Kagome and dice lattices in terms of the resistances on the triangular lattice, and for the decorated lattice in terms of the resistances on the square lattice.
