English Abstract

This study aims at investigate the impact of trainee's desire in training on the relationship between training and performance at the Arab Potash Company (APC).

The population of the study was the whole (2500) employees who have already trained.

A random purposive sample was drawn from the employees of the low and medium levels in the APC factories in Gor Al Safi who have already trained.

A thirty-item questionnaire was developed to collect the required primary data and its reliability and validity were tested, also some secondary data were collected from the records and documents of the company.

These data were analyzed using SPSS software package version (15.0).

The findings revealed that there is a relationship between these dimensions and trainee's performance where Multiple R for the relationship between these dimensions and the dependant variable was (0.769).

But when they were tested hierarchically through the impact of trainee's desire as a moderating variable between training and performance, the results revealed that there was statistically significant impact of training content and training time on the relationship between these dimensions and trainee's performance that attributed to the trainee's desire where R Square Change for training content was (0.14) and (0.16) for training time, but the two other dimensions (trainee's expectations and trainee's needs) were not.
