Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to investigate the level of knowledge of Islamic Education teachers of the concepts, strategies, and tools of "Authentic Assessment", and the level of its implementation at the schools of Zarqa District who report to UNRWA in Jordan, and to study the relationship between the teachers' knowledge of "Authentic Assessment" and the implementation of these strategies.

In order to achieve this goal, the descriptive analytical method was used, and a questionnaire was developed based on 40 items distributed over a five-scale measure, and includes 4 domains, which are: The Knowledge Domain, The Planning Domain, The Application Domain, and the Affective Domain.

This questionnaire was given to a sample of (63) teachers (men and women) among the teachers of Islamic Education in the basic Higher segment.

The study results indicated that the Islamic Education teachers' level of knowledge of the Knowledge Domain was high, while the response of the participants among men and women teachers were mediocre in what concerns the Planning Domain, Application Domain, and Affective Domain.

The results also indicated that there are no important statistical indicators related to the following variables: gender, education degree, and experience of the teachers of Islamic Education in all levels of "Authentic Assessment".

The study concluded several recommendations, the most important of which are: To include programs for training and preparing the teachers of Islamic Education; courses that are linked to applying "Authentic Assessment" in the various education situations.

To conduct training workshops for the Islamic Education teachers in all fields of the study subject, and to conduct more research and studies which are related to "Authentic Assessment".
