يتناول هذا البحث ظاهرة الإضمار و الإظهار لأدوات الربط و الترجمة من اللغة العربية إلى اللغة الإنكليزية.
و يهدف البحث إلى إيجاد الاختلافات في استخدام الإضمار و الإظهار بين اللغتين.
و يفترض هذا البحث أن هناك عدة اختلافات في الطرائق التي تستخدمها اللغتين في تحقيق العلاقات النصية من خلال هذه الظاهرة.
و توصل البحث إلى أن اللغة العربية تميل إلى الإظهار مقارنة مع اللغة الإنكليزية.
و يختتم البحث بتقديم بعض التوصيات بخصوص ترجمة أدوات الربط من اللغة العربية إلى الإنكليزية.
