تسلط هذه الدراسة الضوء على ترجمة ترابط المعنى بوصفه أهم سمات النص.
و تهدف إلى بحث جانبي ترابط المعنى : البنية الصغرى (microstructure) و البنية الكبرى (macrostructure) في النصوص الهدف و مقارنتها بالنصوص الأصل.
و لذلك تم بحث ترابط المعنى في النصوص الأصل أولا و من ثم في النصوص الهدف.
و يعتمد التحليل على أنموذج فان ديك (1977، 1980) لترابط المهنة لاستكشاف و وصف جانبي ترابط المعنى في بعض الأحاديث النبوية.
و الترجمة المختارة للتقييم هي ترجمة محمد أمين أبو أسامة العربي بن رزوق (1999) لرياض الصالحين و ترجمة محمد محسن خان (1995) للؤلؤ و المرجان.
ولقد تم تطبيق الأنموذج على ترجمة خمسة أحاديث نبوية لتقييم نوعية ترجم جانبي ترابط المعنى في النصوص الأصل.
و أظهر تحليل أنه ليس ثمة تطابق كامل بين النصوص الأصل و النصوص الهدف من حيث البنية الصغرى.
كما كشف التحليل أن كلى المترجمين نجحا في ترجمة البنية الكبرى من النصوص الأصل إلى النصوص الهدف.
