Futurity in english and arabic : a contrastive study

Abstract EN

Lots of contrastive studies have been done on Arabic and English syntactic structures.

However no fully analytical study has been conducted on futurity.

Thus, this paper tackles futurity in English and Arabic syntactical and semantically for the purpose of highlighting areas of difficulties Palestinian learners face in learning these constructions, and then it introduces some suggestions and recommendations for avoiding errors of negative transfer committed in t-his field
