كان الغرض من هذا البحث هو تحديد نشاط الكرياتين كيناز في مصل مرضى الرثيان المفصلي و علاقته بنشاط و شدة المرض.
و قد وجدنا قلة واضحة في نشاط الكرياتين كيناز في مرضى الرثيان المفصلي عند مقارنتهم بالمجموعة الضابطة.
و قد كان هناك علاقة إيجابية واضحة بين قيمة الكرياتين كيناز و الهيموجلوبين و عدد كريات الدم الحمراء.
و وجد أيضا علاقة سلبية بين نشاط الكرياتين كيناز و زمن المرض، مؤشر نشاط المرض، سرعة الترسيب، عدد كريات الدم البيضاء الكلية و الصفائح الدموية.
و لكن لم نلاحظ أية علاقة بين نشاط الكرياتين كيناز و زمن تيبس المفاصل في الصباح و معامل الروماتويد و تآكل المفاصل في الأشعة.
و نستنتج من هذا أن نشاط المرض قد يلعب دورا هاما في قلة نشاط الكرياتين كيناز في مرضى الرثيان المفصلي.
Abstract EN
Our objective was to determine serum creatine kinase (CK) activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to examine its relationsthip to disease activity and severity.
Serum CK activity was significantly lower in patients with RA as compared to controls.
There was a significant positive correlation between CK values and Hb and RBCs.
A significant negative correlation was found between CK activity and disease duration, disease activity index, ESR, total leucocytic count and platelets.
On the other hand, no relation was observed between CK activity and the duration of morning stiffness, RF or erosive X-ray changes.
These findings suggest that disease activity may play an important role in reducing CK activity in RA patients.
