Abstract EN

This study aims at applying the meta-analysis techniques to evaluate the overall impact of the organizational size on orgnaizational structure.

It aims to synthesize and integrate the findings of the previous studies in different cultures testing the "culture-free" thesis in cross-cultural analysis.

A sample of (31) studies are included consisting of (1172) organizations from (31) different countries.

Findings of the present study support partially the notion of "culture-free" thesis.

The magnitude of the impact of organizational size on centralization of decision making is not as stable as it is proposed by the theoretical thesis.

This finding implies the importance of the surrounding social cultural environment on which organizations operate.

This supports the ’'culture-bound" thesis.

This study also includes some recommendations regarding theoretical and research applications related to the field of formal organizational cross-curtural studies.
