A new method for calculating the operational efficiency of a pumping station has been developed based on the integral principle and operation rules of the pump flow rate.
To determine the energy saving space of a pumping system and to reflect the relationship between supply and demand, a new method for evaluating the energy consumption rate of a pump system has been developed based on the principle of an inverter-controlled water supply with varying pressures.
These methods have been applied to a pump station with an apparently efficient operation.
By evaluating energy consumption based on actual demand, we developed a new strategy that configures a single frequency converter with a small transitional pump and decreases the energy consumption by almost 14% with a payback time of less than three years.
