Arabic Abstract

هـدفت الدراسـة إلـى معرفـة أثـر اسـتخدام الـرحلات المعرفیـة علـى تحـسین مهـارة القراءة لطلبة الصف الأول ثانوي في محافظة الكرك.

تــم اختيار عینــة الدراســة بالطریقــة العــشوائیة، حیــث تكونــت مــن (70) طالبــا و طالبة قسمت إلى مجموعتین : المجموعة الضابطة من (35) طالبـا و طالبـة ؛ و التجریبیـة (35) طالبا و طالبة.

تكونت أداة الدراسة من اختبارين قبلي و بعدي لقیاس أداء القراءة لدى الطلاب.

أظهـرت نتـائج الدراسـة أن هنـاك فـروق ذات دلالــة إحـصائیة عنـد مـستوى (α < = 0.05) لصالح المجموعـة التجریبیـ ة.

و لـیس هنــاك فــرق إحـصائي فـي (α < = 0.05) بین الذكور و الإناث في المجموعة التجریبیة.

فـي ضـوء نتـائج الدراسـة، تـم اقتراح مجموعـة مـن التوصـیات، منهـا : الحاجـة إلـى تبنــي اســتراتیجیة الــرحلات المعرفیــة فــي العملیــة التعلیمیــة فــي المؤســسات التعلیمیــة الأردنیة.

الحاجة لمزید من الدراسات على الفوائد التعلیمیة الفعلیة للرحلات المعرفیة فـي صفوف أخرى و مواد أخرى.

English Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the impact of using Webquests on improving reading skill of the first secondary class in Karak governorate.

The sample of the study was randomly selected, consisted of (70) male and female students distributed into two groups; the control group consisted of (35) students; and the experimental group of (35) students.

The tool of the study was pre and post-reading comprehension tests in order to measure the students’ performance before and after the treatment.

The results of the study showed that there were significant differences at (a<= 0.05) in favor of the experimental group.

There was no statistical significant difference between male and female.

In light of the results of the study a set of recommendations were suggested; the need to embrace the WebQuests strategy in the educational process in the Jordanian educational institutions.

The need for further studies on actual educational benefits of Webquests in other classes and other subjects.
