English Abstract
The construction sector is one of the most important business fields in Jordan and this sector is suffering from many problems in Management and quality.
Total quality management (TQM) process is considered as a modem system in the field of quality.
This research focused on evaluating TQM implementation as engineering practices in different construction projects phases by examining the four ISO 9001-2008 requirements to achieve important TQM factors in construction process in Jordan.
In this study, the data was collected by a questionnaire survey, it contains six project phases, and each phase includes the main factors (the four ISO 9001-2008 requirements), moreover the main factor contains related sub factors.
By analyses of results, the study showed that TQM implementation level in all construction projects phases was moderate in Jordanian construction process.
Also it showed a statistically significant relationship between (the four ISO requirements to achieve important TQM factors in all project phases) and the performance level from a side, on other side, the study referred to the relationship between (TQM factors in each project phase) and the performance level.
The study gives general recommendations to develop TQM level in the construction projects in Jordan.
A computerized questionnaire program was developed to evaluate TQM implementation in construction projects and determine the performance level according to TQM factors application.
The program has the ability to propose the necessary recommendations to improve TQM status if the evaluation level was weak.
