Abstract EN

This study shows the co-relation between economy & community and how they influence each other.

In particular, studying the public social protests in Israel and 2011 summer protests against the negative effects of the neo- liberalized Israel's economic policy.

It highlights the vital neo-liberalism tools e.g.: minimizing spending on public social services, privatization and tax reduction and others.

Afterward, the study highlights this policy's effects on the Israeli society such as increasing poverty rates, shrinking the middle class, empowering owners of huge capitals and increasing inequalities & social gaps.

The study also shows public reactions to such policies represented by the wide-spread protests in summer 2011 and their limited strength in changing the government's economic policy before and after the protests.

Moreover, the study addressed the feature of the Zionist occupation state where security as a prominent position represented in a huge security budget, using security as a scare-crow to silence protestors.
