English Abstract
Only a minority of universities has introduced a coherent and comprehensive quality management system as the requirements for the introduction are very difficult to handle.
A resource-saving methodological approach for the implementation of higher education adequate quality management systems is needed.
The paper presents such an approach by integrating the industrial method of consortial benchmarking and the PDCA-cycle and their application to universities.
