English Abstract

The Royal Air Maroc or the Royal Moroccan Lines, commonly known as the RAM, is the country largest flag carrier.

It is fully owned by the Moroccan government with its headquarter in Casablanca Anfa Airport.

The carrier operates a domestic network in Morocco and it schedules international flights to Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America, and occasionally schedules Hajj services.

Recently, the company is financially struggling with the increasing price of oil, growing competition, and lower sales and the government has offered 1.6 billion dirhams to shore up its finances (Economic Policy, 2011).

The company has been racking many losses and its revenues decreased significantly.

The aim of this study is trying to implement a simplified auction model into the website of the RAM in order to increase revenues.

The model used in this report is a simulation based on a study performed in the United States into the American Airlines that was facing similar problems.

The simulation used in this report is based on the Monte Carlo model with data collected from several website to run a simplified auction model.

Sensitivity analyses are then performed to analyze the different variables that affect the model
