Abstract EN

The present study aims at exploring the status of competitiveness of Egyptian universities and the role of intem^on^ization of education in promoting and increasing its competitiveness.

The study uses the descriptive method jointly with a gestionnaire administered to a sample population of 225 faculty members ©٢ both pure and applied Egyptian universities’ colleges.

The findings of the study are the following: 1 - The competitiveness of the Egyptian universities !s medium, which requires the need to exert more effort to raise it through upgrading.

2 - The intem^on^ization of education has a role to play in increasing the competitiveness of Egyptian universities as well as improving their performance to obtain advanced positions in international rankings of universities.

3 - There is no statistically significant ،lifference as of the status of the competitiveness of universities, between practical and theoretical faculties, but statistically significant differences exist in favor of theoretical faculties at the center of the contribution of the internationalization of education in increasing the competitiveness of universities, and the requirements of the intemationaliza-١١٨٨ ٨٢ education 4 - Statistically significant differences exist in favor of assistant professors as of the status of competitiveness, and the contribution to the intemationaliza-tion of education in increasing competitiveness, and there are no statistically significant differences between the study groups as of the internationalization of education requirements The study concludes with a proposed mechanism of internalization of education in Egyptian universities with the purpose of increasing its competitiveness and raising its position regionally and globally.
