English Abstract
This study aimed to investigate The Impact of citizens engagement on E-government applications through the knowledge management from the perspective of employees in the Jordanian financial sector.
To achieve the objectives of this study, a questionnaire was developed for data collection.
The sample included (707) Subjects, the number of valid questionnaires for analysis was (612) ,and the SPSS Package of Version (16) was used to analyze the data.
The most important findings of this study were the following : 1- The perceptions of respondents toward Citizen engagement in Egovernment applications in the Jordanian financial sector (the ministry of finance, the department of public tenders , income tax, PES costumes, and the department of Lands & Survey) ,was at medium level and The Factors Affecting on applying E-government in Jordan was at high level.
2- results indicated an effect of participation in e-government applications through the mediator variable of knowledge management , this can be attributed to the presence of elements of knowledge management such as techniques, tools, human resources , the documents and instructions , experiences , sharing this knowledge and exchange it among all workers within the institution , these are necessary for the various administrative activities such decision making, problem resolving, and strategic planning so as knowledge becomes a strategic capital to encourage the exchange of experiences within the whole administrative activities as maintenance of e- government depends highly on the intellectual stores, and investment of these assets to reinforce the continuous creativity and innovation .
The study presented a number of recommendation ,the most important were: 1- continuing work and efforts to increase employees' participation in information, knowledge, and technologies for all information related to decisions and procedures and governmental services with making available equal opportunities for governmental transactions with the electronic transactions within services of the government .
2- increasing the contribution of training methods followed in these institutions by enhancing trainees' thoughts to connect theories with reality using IT and communication such as email to increase and fasten the ability of exchanging information.
