This research aims to investigate the Disciplinary Regulations for Saudi Arabian university students with emphasis on examining the compatibility of the regulations with the provisions of the Islamic jurisprudence.
The research mainly depends on the Disciplinary Regulations of King Saud University and Umm Al Qura University for being the two oldest Saudi universities and the fact that other regulations in other Saudi universities are similar.
The research consists of three chapters: The first chapter deals with the effects of penalties in the reform of individuals as well as society.
This research includes the following three domains: 1.
the effect of penalties on maintaining the five necessities 2.
the effect of penalties on deterrence and restraining 3.
the effect of penalties on reform and achieving security The second chapter deals with the legitimate assets of the universities’ Disciplinary Regulations in general including the following three domains: 1.
defining the universities’ Disciplinary Regulations used to discipline students 2.
the legitimate asset of the universities’ power to discipline students 3.
the constraints of the Disciplinary Regulations The third chapter, on the other hand, includes the legitimate assets for the Disciplinary Regulations which include the following two domains: 1.
the moral penalties of caution and warning which are included in the Disciplinary Regulations 2.
the physical penalties, mainly the penalty of dismissal.
This penalty is defined and related to its legitimate source as well as defining its implementation terms and forms.
The researcher concludes his research with the most important conclusions as well as recommendations.
