English Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the factors that influence entrepreneurial behaviour in Jordan by studying two independent variables in terms of their influence on entrepreneurial behaviour, those variables are entrepreneurial self-efficacy and creativity, in addition to determine whether gender, age and education cause any change in the influence of creativity and entrepreneurial self-efficacy on entrepreneurial behaviour.

The population of the study is composed of all the entrepreneurs and the employees at entrepreneurial firms in Jordan; the sample of the study was composed of 155 respondents, entrepreneurs formed 52.3% of the total respondents, and employees at entrepreneurial firms formed the rest of the sample, the responses were obtained using convenience sampling technique.

Simple liner regression, multiple regressions and hierarchical regression were used to analyze the data.

The findings indicate that both entrepreneurial self-efficacy and creativity have an influence entrepreneurial behaviour, the results also demonstrate that none of the demographic factors cause a significant statistical change in the influence of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on entrepreneurial behaviour, nor do they cause a significant statistical change in the influence of creativity on entrepreneurial behaviour.

The researcher recommends that more focus is be given to the area of entrepreneurial self-efficacy in order to clearly define it for entrepreneurs and policy makers and to explain how it interacts and affects entrepreneurial behaviour.

Additionally; it is recommended that creativity is studied for its influence on the entrepreneurial behaviour of firms and for employees at entrepreneurial organizations alike.
