Abstract EN

This study aims to determine level of teaching practices of Arabic language skills among student-teachers at Education Faculty from standpoint of cooperating teachers and their attitude towards teaching profession.

Researcher follows descriptive approach by preparing a note card to measure level of teaching practices of Arabic language skills among study sample.

The researcher prepares a scale for measuring trend towards teaching profession.

After checking and confirming reliability and validity of study tools, they are applied to sample consists of (50) student-teachers at Education Faculty.

After statistical analysis, study reaches these conclusions: (i) Overall mean of student-teachers' practice degree in Arabic language skills through their teaching is (4.33/5.00).

(ii) Skills order: Reading gets first place with a mean (4.43/5.00).

Writing gets second place with a mean (4.42/5.00).

Listening gets third place with a mean (4.30/5.00).

Speaking gets last place with a mean (4.22/5.00).

(iii) There is a direct positive correlation between total degree of teaching skills and degree of trend towards teaching profession among sample.

Study recommends student-teachers should increase their interest in practicing listening and speaking skills.

And, hold courses to develop students' skills.

Also, perform a continuous evaluation and development of field-training program in light of results.
