Abstract EN

This research aims at investigating the effect of using web quest strategy on development of scientific thinking skills and understanding the nature of science among eight grade students in Jordan.

The research applied the qusi-experimental method.

The members of study consisted of (46) students from a private schools in AL-Balqa governorate, distributed into two groups: control group and experimental group.

To achieve the goals of the study the researcher prepared tow tests; the first was to measure scientific thinking skills, and the other was to measure understanding of nature of science, and its validity and reliability were asserted by an appropriate ways.

The results of the study showed that there is a significent effect of using web quest strategy in development of scientific thinking skills for students in favor of experimental group, and another significent effect of using web quest strategy in development of understanding of the nature of science in favor of experimental group.

In light of the results, the researcher presented some recommendations.
