Abstract EN

The study aimed to investigate Religious Education (RE) course to know to what extent this course considers the phases of growth of second class pupils at Basic Level Schools from the perspective of the teachers at Omdurman Locality.

The researcher has adopted descriptive analytical approach and questionnaire for the sample population of 400 Islamic Figh and Ageedah (Jurisprudence and Creed) teachers at Omdurman Locality.

Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and constancy coefficient, along with T-Test, F-Test, Anova and SPSS were also adopted for data analysis.

The study has concluded that there are statistical differences over RE consideration of the requirements of the pupils’ growth according to the teachers’ views.

There are also statistical difference regarding the RE consideration of the phases of the pupils’ growth according to the views of both female and male teachers.

The study has therefore recommended that the course should be revised to keep up with the pupils’ needs, changes and values and more studies on the adequacy of RE taught to first and third classes should also be carried out.
