Abstract EN

This study aims at recognizing the effect of roundhouse strategy on the upper primary students' acquisition of the chemical concepts.

The study design is considered as a semi-experimental where the educational materials were applied -using the roundhouse strategy- on the experimental group that consists of 29 students, while the control group, that also consists of 29 students, was tested in the usual way.

For the data collection, a test for the chemical concepts of the (basis and acids)'s chapter in the chemistry book of the ninth grade students in Jordan was designed.

For the study reliability, the test was reviewed by two specialists and Kuder-Richardson 20 test was used for the validity.

The results showed a positive effect of the roundhouse strategy on students' acquisition of the chemical concepts.
