Abstract EN

The high growth rates of knowledge synthesis brought about an unprecedented leap in economic thought and strongly embodied the so-called knowledge economy, imposing its wide use with the advent of globalization and the emergence of open innovative and creative production systems.

Hence, the perception of creation of businesses’ value and wealth changed totally, from the focus on physical investment and the erosion of “diminishing returns law” which handles the physical commodities, to the focus on Intellectual resources’ investment and the emergence of “Increasing revenues resulted from knowledge” law and intellectual capital which is one of the most important components of national wealth, more so, it’s seen by many as a strategy to shift from a focus on the general category of workers to what is known as premium category involving intellectual and cognitive abilities and work to generate value and wealth and improve the status of institutions.

U.A.E realized early the importance of evaluating intellectual capital and different knowledge assets to develop and build a knowledge economy under the decline of physical investments returns.
