Organizational culture plays a crucial role in maintaining job satisfaction, organizational commitment, loyalty and creativity.
This study, therefore, was conducted to identify the types of organizational cultures preferred by potential male and female graduates - as job seekers - of Saudi Arabian universities, that might attract them to work in the Saudi private sector.
The study investigated the effects of the factors of gender, age, and specialty in secondary schools and university.
The study used the quantitative approach based on descriptive and analytical methods, using the model (OCAI) of Cameron and Quinn, which classifies organizational culture into four types: clan culture, adhocracy culture, market culture, and hierarchy culture.
Random sampling was used to collect data using e-questionnaire.
The number of completed questionnaires was 260.
The findings indicated that the potential graduates' preferences were as follows: clan culture, adhocracy culture, hierarchy culture, and market culture.
Results showed no significant differences between males and females with one exception regarding the preference of females for clan culture.
The study highlighted the importance of considering the preferred types of organizational cultures and paying considerable attention to job security.
In addition, it recommended having further empirical studies in this regard.
