Abstract EN

Among the reforms recently introduced in the Algerian schooling system is Competency Based Approach (henceforth CBA).

It aims at developing competencies, involving the child in his learning process and among its priorities using Information Communicating Technology (henceforth ICTs).

As shown in various investigations, their use is very beneficial since they contribute at developing cooperation and collaboration in the classroom.

In our country, although children are eager to this new approach, teachers are not ready.

In this paper, we would like to report on the situation in the Algerian school.

The goal is to highlight one among the drawbacks of CBA in Algeria.

This investigation goes through two main steps: the former describes the way knowledge is structured and understood Through ICTs and the latter sheds light on the use of ICTs in the Algerian classroom.
