Abstract EN

The fast-foods are now widely available in Egypt and are becoming increasingly popular among children and young adults.

So the aim of this study is estimating the actual nutritional value of fast food and its risk hazards on human health.

Moreover, opinions of young adult, towards this food were evaluated, through laboratory estimation of chemical and nutrient content (carbohydrates, fat, protein, fiber, cholesterol and nutritional energy) of fast food.

Questionnaire was distributed on a sample of young adults in Alexandria University.

The results indicate the actual nutritional value of different meals of fast food which covers from 20-40% of recommended dietary allowances (RDA) of protein and 10-19% of energy required for adult male and female .Recommendations contributes in achievement a high quality of fast foods and its safety for human health.
