Abstract EN

The present study aimed at revealing the level of the prevailing habits of mind of the source teacher in the light of some variables of the type of school (public / private), years of experience and gender.

The sample consisted of (289) teachers in the learning resource rooms in the Jordanian schools To accomplish the study goals ascale of sixteen habits of mind was developed, using the descriptive method, and the results indicated that the possession of the teacher of the habits of mind was largely to the habits of questioning and posing problems, find humor, and managing impulsivity, where the levels of ownership of the source teacher of these habits ranged between (33.05 - 33.69).

The levels of ownership of the source teacher ranged from medium to large, and the lowest level was for creating, imagning and innovating, and ranged between medium and large in other habits.

Where as no statistically significant mean differences in the habits of mind were found with respect to variables of school type, years of experience and gender.
