Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the impact of social upbringing institutions on drug addiction.

The study population consisted of drug addicts in therapeutic clinics in Jordan.

The study sample selection was based on the availability manner; (50) questionnaires were distributed to drug addicts in therapeutic clinics in the period between 20-5-2017 and 20-6-2017.

The statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) was used.

The study applied the simple statistical and advanced statistics methods from the t-test and f-test to show the differences and statistical significance of the variables.

The results showed that the reasons behind their addiction to drugs were first comrades, followed by adventure and experimentation and availability of material and cheaply and finally the existence of free time for them.

It turns out that drug availability everywhere is the most addictive reason, along with affordable drugs prices and then the mood is modified by drugs There was no significant relationship between social upbringing factors (general, school and family) and drug addiction related to parents’ social status.
