Abstract EN
This essay deals with collocations translation from English into Arabic and the mistakes made by students through translation, mainly due to « faux amis » or « deceptive cognates » resulting from linguistic interference between both English and Arabic as well as French as a third language.
This articles analyses these collocation alongside with a classification of the mistakes from different levels; syntactic and grammatical, semantic, phonological, lexical and lexicographic level.
Finally, a synthesis is made about the abovementioned mistakes and how to avoid them..
