Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the effect of using computerized guided discovery in the achievement of second graders Jmeelah Abu Basha School At Directorate Of Irbid.

In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the rsearcher prepared achievement test and verified its validity and reliability.

The sample of the study consisted of (41) second graders, divided in to groups, the experimental groups which included (20) male and female students, and the control groups with (21) male and female students.

By using the experimental method, the results showed a statistically significant differences at (a = 0.05) in the scientific achievement of the second graders attributed to the method used, in favor of the experimental group.

The results also showed no statistically significant difference at the level (a = 0.05) among the second graders in the scientific achievement attributed to sex variable (male, female).

The study recommends the implementation of educational computerized programs based on the guided discovery in teaching elementary stage science.
