The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of acquisition of secondary stage students in Jordan for the concepts of national and civic education and its relationship to some demographic variables, The subjects of the study sample included (218) students were chosen purposefully from government schools in the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017.

They are students of the first secondary and second secondary grades of literary and scientific from male and female at Ira and Yarqa schools within the Education Directorate in Assalt area / AL balqa governorate One tool has been applied for the study after investigation from validity and reliability for it, namely: the test of the concepts of national and civic education which include (35) paragraph from multiple-choice type.

The study results showed that the arithmetic average for the level of acquisition of secondary school students in Jordan for the concepts of national and civic education was (16.22).

And there was statistical significant difference (α = 0.05) between the level of acquisition of secondary stage students for the concepts of national and civic education compared to the educationally acceptable level (%80).

And statistical significant differences were found in the level of acquisition of secondary school students for the concepts of national and civic education attributed to the variables: gender, academic branch, and educational grade.

And statistical significant relationships were found in the level of acquisition of secondary stage students for the concepts of national and civic education attributed to the variables: gender, academic branch, and educational grade.The study recommends giving more attention to the concepts of national and civic education in a way that contributes to the consolidation of the relationship between the "learner" citizen and his homeland, considering that the educational process is aimed at the personality of the individual as a whole..
