Abstract EN

The study aimed at recognizing the level of test anxiety among the students of secondary schools of Najran city and the ways of reducing it.

The study used the descriptive analytic methodology and applied the anxiety scale which is made of (36) items.

The study sample (600 male and female students) was collected randomly from the secondary schools of Najran city; (32) male schools and (36) female schools.

The study sample included students who are registered in the second semester 2017-2018.

The study proved that the total degree of test anxiety average from the students perspective was (3.14) and the relative weight of anxiety level was(%62.96) The study results revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the point (0.05a) in the level of test anxiety due to the variable of the class for the benefit of third secondary students.

The results also showed significant differences between male and female levels of anxiety for the benefit of females.

This confirms that the level of test anxiety among female students is high.

The study presented a number of recommendations and suggestions to overcome the test anxiety.
