Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the effect of multimedia collaborative learning environment based on gamification in the development of achievement and motivation of students of Taibah University.

The study employed semi-experimental methodology.

The study sample consisted of (41) students in: (14) students in control group and (27) students in experimental group.

The researcher used the following tools and materials: learning environment guide, achievement test and motivation scale.

The results of the study were; there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of students in the experimental group and the control group in development of the achievement in post-test in favour of the experimental group and between the average scores of students in the experimental group in pre-test and post-test in development achievement in favour of the post-test.

Also, there were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of students in the experimental group and the control group in development motivation in post-scale and between the average scores of students in the experimental group in pre-scale and post-scale in development motivation.

The most important recommendations were: training faculty members to use this learning environment in teaching higher education courses, can them use the guide that was prepared.
