The aim of The Role of English Teacher in Reinforcing the Values of Intellectual Safety among High School Students in Riyadh and Teacher Training.
The study also aimed to know the importance of training English language teachers to exercise their roles in order to meet the requirements of intellectual security In the city of Riyadh.
The study was based on the descriptive analytical method, using the questionnaire tool consisting of (50) paragraphs, divided into five requirements related to intellectual security.
The study sample consisted of (156) English language teacher for the secondary stage in Riyadh city The results of the study showed that the general arithmetic mean of the extent of the contribution of English language teachers in achieving the requirements of intellectual security among secondary school students in Riyadh from the point of view of the teachers themselves on the field of requirements of the Islamic ideological dimension reached (2.84) with a relative weight (56.8%).
And the area of national affiliation requirements was (2.82), with a relative weight (56.4%).
And the requirements of cultural affiliation and civilization (2.74), with a relative weight (54.8%).
Finally, the requirements for dialogue and acceptance of the other reached (2.81), with a relative weight 2.65 The results showed that the general arithmetic mean for the training of English language teachers to exercise their roles in achieving the requirements of intellectual security among secondary school students in Riyadh was (2.70), with a relative weight (54.0%).
The study presented a number of recommendations and suggestions.
The most important of these were: preparation of guides for teachers in various specializations, especially English language, explaining how to address the issue of achieving intellectual security; spreading the culture of intellectual security among teachers; training teachers on how to include and introduce concepts of intellectual security and teaching them to students; Take advantage of modern technologies and social communication tools to protect against the contents of wrong and distorted thinking
