Abstract EN
The study aims to reveal the relationship between work demands and strain and its outcomes as well as the moderating-mediating roles of job-control and work engagement in the relationships between independent and dependent variables among university lecturers at University of Dammam, through applying a descriptive-correlative design by applying questionnaires on a study population consisting of 217 university lecturers who were selected randomly.
The results revealed a direct impact of job demands on psychological strain.
Furthermore, the results partially supported the moderating-mediating effects on the relationships between independent and dependent variables of the study.
However, this research discussed the implications of these findings with respect to the development and applications of the job-demands resources model.
