Abstract EN

The bedouin Mouritanian schools of Mahdara is a unique phenomenon in the history of religious education in the Islamic world, it is considered as one of the oldest educational styles that withstood changes of history and societies over the centuries, the uniqueness of this insituiton comes from deferent espects such as, its old educational systems, educational starcture, and curuculam, in addition to its preferred isolated geographical ereas.

Despite of its great achievements which can be traced through the quality of its graduates.

This paper attempts to determine the truth of this institution by tracking historical appearance and development stages, the curriculum and problems facing their existence and survival.

The study seeks to offer an academic understanding to this institution, through digging in its history, development stages, structured curricula, achievements and challenges that face its future.
