This study aimed to determine the level of cognitive motivation that distinguishes high school students in Shendi (males and females).
It also aimed to find out if there was a statistically significant correlation between the cognitive motivation and academic achievement، as well as knowledge of the relationship between cognitive motivation and socioeconomic level and statistical significance، and detection of significant statistical in the degree of motivation of knowledge among students and high school students in Shendi and that differences attributed to student (male، female) also aimed to see statistically significant differences in academic achievement level of students and high school students in Shendi and attributable to student (male، female).
It has reached the overall size of the sample selected (210) students، from this number (105) of the boys، and 105 girls، divided into six schools among schools Shendi city، including three schools for boys، and three schools for girls، and to answer questions about the study and testing of the basic religious duties have been prepared two measures، one to measure the level of cognitive motivation ،and the second to measure the socio-economic level، the study found that the cognitive motivation among respondents from students and high school students has been high، also found that there is a positive correlation between cognitive motivation and academic achievement ،the study also found that there was no correlation statistically significant differences between the cognitive motivation and level of economic and social among respondents، as there are no significant differences in the level of cognitive motivation among students and high school students in Shendi attributed to the genus student، and also there are no significant differences Statistically in the academic achievement level of students and high school students in Shendi attributed to student (male, female)
