This study is amid to investigate the counseling role of teachers as perceived by the graduate students in Nizwa University.
Also, it aimed to investigate the difference between male and female students perceiving this role.
The representative random sample consisted of (102) graduate students ;( 47) male, (55) female.
Results of this study reflect that the graduate students in Nizwa University do moderite value the important of developmental counseling role dimention, thin protective role counseling of teachers dimention , finaly the therapeutic counseling role dimention with low value.
The study results show that: There are significant différences (a < 0.05) between male & female students on perceiving the counseling role of teachers, the counseling role of teachers favor for female sudents.
The researcher recommended that; the importance of counseling training for teachers to improve their skills in counseling process & to fulfill their needs to be competent in their responsibilities towards their students.
