Abstract EN

The current research collected the narrators included in Abu Dawood's Sunan, and labeled by Abu Hatim Al-Razi as truthful (Sadook) in his Book of invalidity and validity.

The researchers studied models of narrators by collecting the critics' opinions in them and studied some of their narrators to pass judgment.

Thus, this study included two sections.

The first dealt with the concept of truthful literally and idiomatically, and the status of the narrations of the truthful as compared to that of Abu Hatem Al-Razi.

The second section dealt with the applied study on Abi Dawood's Sunan.

The most important result is that scholars were divided regarding accepting the narrations of the truthful.

Some of them refused to make use of his narration until studying the one labeled truthful and deeply investigating his narrations such as Abu Hatem Al-Razi, Ibn Al-Salah, and Al-Nawawi whereas the majority of scholars allow the use of the narrations of the truthful.
