The political crime is, originally, a pure crime that involves the violation of a political interest.

its elements are represented in the political motive and purpose, in addition to the nature of the right violated.

these elements distinguish it from the other crimes.

however, the different interlocking and overlapping political events have led to the emergence of the compound crime, which is different from the pure crime in its violation of both political and other natural interest at the same time.

its model is the political assassination, which targets the president of the country or one of its officials, in addition to the violation of his right to life therefore, in light of this interlocking and overlapping, it is important to recognize the legal base of the compound political crime, through which, we can separate it from the pure political crime, and we can separate between the two targeted interests, through the mentioned crime (political interest and natural interest).

in addition, revealing which one is preferred, thus clarifying the reliable bases in politicizing the compound crime.

it is important to know that the investigation of the legal base of the mentioned crime requires stating the position of the Jordanian legislation and comparative legislation, represented in the Lebanese, Syrian, and Iraqi legislations, regarding the politicization and de-politicization of the compound crime and its model, the research topic, in addition to the reasons behind the de-politicization.

are they acceptable and sufficient or not? in light of the provisions of Shar’ia and law.
