Abstract EN
This study aimed to identify the attitudes of the female normal students of the 2nd secondary school for integration towards the intellectually disabled female students and their relation to some variables: having a disabled child in the family, having past experience with the disabled.
The researcher used the descriptive analytic method.
The sample was composed of (30) students and used the scale of psychological attitudes.
The results showed that there were significant differences in the attitudes of the female 2nd secondary school students towards the intellectually disabled due to the variable of the existence of a disabled child in favor of those who have a disabled child in the family, that there were significant differences in the attitudes of the female 2nd secondary school students towards the intellectually disabled due to the variable of having past experience with the disabled in favor of those who have past experience with the disabled.
The research was finalized with a number of recommendations, important of which: the necessity of raising awareness of the female students in all school stages about how to deal with the female intellectually disabled, training courses are to be held to change the negative attitudes of the female students and formulate positive attitudes towards the intellectual disability, and the researcher presented a number of suggestions about studies on attitude change, and studies about awareness of intellectual disability including all the categories of the society.
