Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the effect of Problem solving method in comparison to the traditional method upon the learning motivation of group of undergraduate students at the University of Bahrain, studying the Islamic Culture Islam (Chapter of Faith).

The study sample was consisted of (32) students, divided into two groups (experimental and control).

The first group studied through problem solving, while the second one studied according to the traditional lecturing method.

After ensuring the equality between the two groups, the researcher applied the Problem solving to the experimental group.

The results showed a statistically significant difference between the two groups in motivation, in favor of the experimental group.

The main recommendation of this study is to perform more studies about the relationship between Problem solving in teaching other related topics in Islamic Culture and Learning Motivation.
