Abstract EN

The study tackles the history of one of Baghdad region in the Abbasid era, which is the region of king river where located in the blackness of the western direction of Baghdad city.

This region includes number of areas, towns, villages, farms.

It was named relative to (king river) which is one of the ancient and great rivers that emerge from the Euphrates River and pour into the Tigris River.

The region of king river is considered as one of the greatest Baghdad's region during the research period.

it includes many villages and it has great income as it described by the Geographers.

It has been said that it includes more than three hundred villages.

The truth is that the significance of this topic lies in the fact that it tackles an very important aspect of the Abbasid community using research and study.

Namely the villages of Baghdad, which constitute the majority of the population in terms of number and standard of living, namely the peasants who are the main source of urban life, and its continuous improvement.

Since the region of the King River did not receive an extensive study by researchers, so researcher has seen that it must be tackled by research and study for the reader in general and experienced historian in particular to see a complete picture of the Abbasid period.

There is no doubt that addressing the study of the region of king river historically, and revealing its administrative and economic aspects were not easy.

Generally, the historical information on that is very few, and it almost rare in some respects.
