English Abstract
This study aims to investigate the human capital for independent and affiliated freelancers in Gaza Strip through investigating the human capital dimensions to access the freelance market.
To meet the aim of the study, the statistical approach was followed.
A questionnaire was distributed online as the data collection tool.
The study population was 2000 persons who are self-employment as freelancers in Gaza Strip; 325 questionnaires were collected out of 500 distributed.
The findings of this study demonstrate that there are no main differences between independent and affiliated freelancers in Gaza Strip.
There is statistically significant differences between freelancers' Human capital and decent jobs, where the freelancers with higher educations, skills and experience will be able to have better opportunities to get decent jobs.
However the mean of education variable was insignificantly different form the hypothesized value.
This study recommends the independent freelancers to enhance technical and life skills.
Moreover, the freelance institutions must strengthen the capabilities of their affiliated freelancers by joining them into training courses on technical and life skills.
Finally, the Gaza Strip universities should raise awareness about the need for new graduates to participate in workshops on the importance and feasibility of freelancing.
