Arabic Abstract

الهدف من الدراسة هو التعرف على أثر استخدام إستراتيجية قراءة القصة على تحسين مهارة القراءة الإنجليزية لطلاب الصف السابع في الأردن.

و قد أثارت الدراسة الأسئلة التالية : 1- ما مكونات إستراتيجية قراءة القصة في تدريس القراءة للصف السابع في الأردن؟ 2- هل يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند ( α=0.05) في اختبار القراءة التحصيلية نتيجة لاستراتيجية استخدام القصص بين المجموعتين التجريبية و الضابطة؟ استخدم في الدراسة منهج البحث شبه التجريبي حيث ان اختيار العينة كان قصديا، و تكونت عينة الدراسة من 67 طالبا و طالبة من الصف السابع في مدرسة الفقهاء الثانوية / وادي السير / مديرية التربية و التعليم في عمان تم توزيع العينة على مجموعتين المجموعة الأولى كانت المجموعة التجريبية التي تم تدريسها باستخدام إستراتيجية قراءة القصة ؛ تألفت هذه المجموعة من ( 34 ) طالبة ؛ أما المجموعة الثانية فكانت المجموعة الضابطة المكونة من ( 33 ) طالبة و تم تعليمهم بالطريقة التقليدية.

استخدمت اداتان للدراسة برنامج تعليمي يعتمد على استراتيجية قراءة القصة لتعليم القراءة، و اختبار تحصيلي لمهارة القراءة تم ضمان صحة و موثوقية الادوات.

تألف برنامج إستراتيجية قراءة القصة من ثلاثة دروس من الفصل الخامس من کتاب Action Pack.

تم تعليمهم وفقا لخطط الدرس التي اعدتها الباحثة باستخدام القصص المختارة وفقا لموضوعات الدروس.

اظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية في نتائج الاختبار التحصيلي الصالح المجموعة التجريبية.

بناء على النتائج، أوصت الدراسة باستخدام استراتيجية قراءة القصة من أجل تسهيل عملية التدريس لأولئك الذين يشاركون في عملية تدريس و تقييم اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية.

English Abstract

The purpose of the current study is to investigate the effect of using story reading strategy in improving the English reading skill of the seventh grade students in Jordan.

The study raised the following questions: 1-What are the components of the story reading strategy in teaching reading for grade seven in Jordan? 2-What is the effect of using Reading story strategy in improving English Reading skill? A quasi experimental design was employed in this study, for the sample was purposefully chosen.

The sample of the study consisted of 67 students from the seventh grade at Al-Foqaha Secondary School/Wadi Al-Seer/ Directorate of Education in Amman.

The sample was distributed into two groups; the first group was the experimental group taught by using reading story strategy; this group consisted of (34) female students; the second group was the control group, consisted of (33) female students.

and were taught by the traditional method Two instruments were used for the study: a teaching program based on story reading strategy to teach reading, and an achievement test for the reading skill.

Validity and reliability of the instruments were assured.

The story reading strategy program consisted of three lessons from chapter five of Action Pack text book .They were taught according to the lesson plans prepared by the researcher using stories chosen according to the themes of the lessons.

The findings of the study showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the results of the achievement test in favor of the experimental group On the basis of the results, the study recommended using the story reading strategy in order to facilitate the process of teaching to those who are involved in the EFL teaching and assessment process.
