Abstract EN

This research deals with the historical era of Oman (1930s) in narrative ways to attempt to uncover the social aspects of Shahbandar's novel by Hashem Gharaybeh.

the research is divided into a number of axes, the first of which is the author's cradle of the Jordanian narrative and the stages of its development, since the Jordanian novel is part of the Arab narrative.

the second axis deals with the researcher talk about the historical novel, its concept, stages of development and types and the difference between them and history.

as for the third axis, the researcher discusses the narrative aspects of the novel and its role in the novel, such as the event, characters, time, place, language, and some narrative techniques such as retrieval and anticipation.
